meet lucy

Lucy got her start in Toronto, attending George Brown College for Fashion Business Industry and Special Event Planning (although some might say she was destined for event planning, starting at an early age planning dinners + parties for family and friends). After starting Lucy Myers Events in 2012, Lucy returned to Huntsville, where she grew up spending childhood summers on the lakes of Muskoka, giving her the ability to couple her professional approach with an intimate knowledge of the Muskoka area.

Lucy’s parents ran an import retail business in Huntsville for over 15 years, which took their family on annual buying trips to Bali, Indonesia, followed by travels throughout Southeast Asia. This unique upbringing has provided Lucy with small town integrity coupled with a sense of wanderlust and worldly aesthetic that continues to inspire her designs.

Lucy’s aesthetic is ever evolving as she is influenced by interior design, photography, fashion, travel and decades past. The depth and breadth of her sources of inspiration provide versatility when integrating multiple elements to develop a look, be it for her home, personal style or event design. She is constantly challenging herself to create innovative combinations with personal touches.

The Month Of Coordinator

The Month of Coordinator is an excellent choice for the couple who have the time, vision + resources to plan their special day but just need help with execution.

This service begins 4-6 weeks prior to your wedding and focuses on ensuring all your ducks are in a row. Our team creates a detailed wedding itinerary and works with you to manage the flawless execution of your plans. This gives you the time to relax and soak in the moment with your family + friends.

The Month of Coordinator service starts at $4,500

  • Up to 12 hours of Wedding Day Coordination:
    • Supervise vendor deliveries + set-up to ensure order fulfillment
    • Liaise with vendors + make final payments on your behalf
    • Hands-on styling of wedding accessories + day-of print work
    • Cue wedding party as they walk down the aisle
    • Guide wedding party + guests to ceremony, cocktail hour and reception
    • Cue musicians, MC, DJ + speeches
    • Cue cake cutting, bouquet toss, parent + first dance

  • One big meeting to go over your wedding plans
  • Attending a venue walkthrough with you to finalize details
  • Confirmation with vendors two weeks prior to your wedding day
  • Creation of detailed Wedding Day itineraries for the couple, MC + vendors as necessary
  • Direct wedding ceremony rehearsal, from processional to recessional

    Wedding Design is a comprehensive service, similar to Interior Design, to ensure your wedding is stunning, on budget and comes to fruition seamlessly. This service is about creating one of a kind wedding décor features with magazine-worthy execution.

    As a professional wedding designer, Lucy transforms your venue into a space filled with atmosphere. Through the careful selection of colour palette, layering of textures, application of mood lighting, music + even scent, we’re able to create a full sensory experience for your guests.

    The Wedding Designer service start at $6,500

    • Coordination with Graphic Designer for all wedding day signage (welcome sign, seating chart, menus, etc.)
    • Communication with Bakery to review wedding design as applicable to wedding cake or sweets design
    • Sourcing of all design elements, such as furniture, lighting, linens, florals, from preferred vendors to custom decor pieces
    • Coordination of all Decor Vendor contracts, payments + set up logistics
    • Up to 4 hours of decor vendor set-up supervision + hands=on styling of your wedding décor to ensure each element is impeccably styled
    • Coordination of post-wedding décor tear-down + vendor follow up as required
    • A meeting to get to know the bride + groom
    • A venue site visit to evaluate the architecture of the space(s), take measurements + confirm accessibility
    • The creation of a Wedding Design Mood Board to illustrate the colour palette + overall wedding aesthetic
    • Creation and management of your Décor Budget
    • The development of a Wedding Design Concept presentation detailing:
      • Design inspiration images + digital mock ups for various areas + displays
        • For example: wedding ceremony, welcome/gift table, cocktail lounges, dinner tables + food stations, etc.

    We ensure the distance does not interfere with producing a unique + personalized wedding. Our team will coordinate the shipment of everything from your wedding dress to custom wedding décor. Your planner will arrive at the destination ahead of you so upon arrival you can relax and enjoy your surroundings while our team brings every perfect detail to life. We can plan everything from welcome cocktails on a private cruise, an intimate rehearsal dinner on a candlelit beach, exotic spa treatments for your bridal party, group excursions or a farewell brunch.
