Everyone loves getting an envelope in the mail that is a different colour or shape, has a hand-written address or a special stamp (read: it is not a utility bill). That's why I prefer sending a Save The Date the old fashioned way. However just because you're sending this fun announcement through the good old mailman, doesn't mean it has to be boring. There are lots of great options including Save The Date fridge magnets, coasters, postcards and an endless array of photo ops.

Your Save The Date will be the first impression for your guests and it will make a statement as to the formality + style of wedding you will be hosting. If you're planning on a black-tie affair I would forgo the infographic or chalkboard options.
Also, don't forget that your engagement photos are perfect for Save The Dates! Consider planning a few curated shots specifically for this use and plan ahead so the photo is optimal for your graphic design.
