Wedding Design Trends

We've all witnessed how quickly a creative idea can become a world wide trend, especially in the wedding and design industry (like when blush and gold was a must have for every bride to be). And lately we have been watching certain trends really take off, which of course got us thinking, what is the next big trend in weddings going to be? Here are a few things we are starting to notice that we predict will become big hits in the wedding world.

1. Going Earthy

The rustic look is a bit overdone these days, and in its place this natural earthy design is really making a name for itself. There are just so many stunning options to choose from to complete this look, like using dusty muted colour tones with terracotta planters + charger plates, all while utilizing natural textures such as rocks, sand and dirt. This is taking the oversaturated garden theme with heavy florals and giving it that raw look that is truly timeless.

2. Ribbon Alternatives

We are noticing that ribbon alternatives are on the rise, especially when it comes to bouquets and invitation suites. Bringing in items like yarn, beads, and even wire to create a different look and add some texture to the design is something we are excited to see. And of course as the 80s style comes back into trend we are noticing more fringe + tassels being used in a variety of ways.

3. Cork

In the home decor world, the use of cork is proving to be a popular trend. Which is a good sign that it could transfer over into the wedding industry in the near future. We love the idea of pairing a cork charger plate with matte black accents.
