It's that time of year again, our Pinterest feeds are getting flooded with creative mood boards all focusing on the Pantone Colour of the Year. And this years winner? Greenery. But not just any kind of greenery (because lets face it, there are sooo many different shades), this greenery is a bright spring colour. Pantone explains that this colour choice symbolizes "a fresh and zesty yellow-green shade that evokes the first days of spring when nature’s greens revive".
Our thoughts? We aren't that crazy about it, albeit done in the right way it could be really very pretty, but it isn't our favourite shade. While it might be the perfect look for a fresh spring wedding, our designs this year are filled with dark moody greens + dusty eucalyptus (I don't think we will ever tire of eucalyptus). In the spirit of greenery + talking about colour, we've listed our top three favourite greens below.
Oh the power of kale! It is just a unique shade, but we can't help but love it. One of our favourite things is that there are so many different shades of green in one piece of kale, and even some purple tones.
Dusty eucalyptus is one of those colours that is so soft + romantic that it can transform the look of a room or a table solely by itself. We have a slight obsession with eucalyptus, we have some in the LME studio, and both Shannon and myself have some in our own homes. If we had to pick a favourite this would definitely be a top contender.
Whether you choose an emerald that has a bit of sparkle or is more like a dark hunter green, this shade is sexy and makes a huge statement. It is bold without being colourful, and can really add a bit of glam to your colour palette. This is a popular colour for us for 2017 couples.
