We're expanding our team for 2016!

Lucy Myers Events is excited to announce we will be expanding our events team for the 2016 wedding season. We are looking for a select few to fill positions as Wedding Coordinators + Decor Execution Crew members.

Wedding Coordinators

Duties:

  • Attend meetings and communicate via email/phone with clients and LME team to discuss event details
  • Keep organized records of meeting notes, event documents and event details
  • Create extremely detailed event itineraries as per LME standards
  • Creation of floor plans and presentations as required
  • On-Site event execution including set up, day-of coordination, tear down and follow up
  • Liase with vendors prior to and during events
  • Assisting LME team with social media, blogging and marketing efforts as required
  • May be required to lift and move equipment and/or assist with set up of decor
  • May be required to transport small decor items to events in personal vehicle 
  • Other duties as they arise

Requirements:

  • Experience in Wedding or Event planning industry an asset
  • Detail oriented
  • Creative problem solving
  • Eye for design
  • Superb customer service, team work + leadership skills
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment with time management skills
  • Proactive, eager to learn + self-motivated
  • Social Media, Blogging or Graphic Design experience an asset
  • Professional, polished attire and approach
  • Access to a reliable personal vehicle, computer (ideally a laptop) and cell phone
  • Able to work early mornings, late nights and weekends
  • Has accommodation in Huntsville or Muskoka area from May - October

Decor Execution Crew Members

Duties:

  • Attend meetings and communicate via email/phone with LME team to discuss design details
  • Organize decor rentals prior to loading, during unloading on-site and once returned to LME storage
  • On-site set up of decor rentals and equipment
  • On-site tear down and re-packing of decor rentals and equipment
  • Execute decor plans with polish and perfection and on-time
  • Liase with other decor vendors as required
  • Assist with transportation of decor items
  • Track any damaged or missing decor rentals
  • Clean and maintain decor rentals
  • Assist with custom decor projects as required
  • Other duties as they arise

Requirements:

  • Experience in design or visual display industries an asset
  • Please provide a portfolio of your design work and/or a presentation of your personal design aesthetic
  • Detail oriented
  • Creative problem solving
  • Eye for design
  • Ability to use tools, stand on a ladder, lift arms overhead, twist, bend etc.
  • Ability to lift 30lbs. with no physical restraint
  • Customer service, team work + leadership skills
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment with time management skills
  • Proactive, eager to learn + self-motivated
  • Access to a reliable personal vehicle and cell phone; truck driving experience an asset
  • Able to work early mornings, late nights and weekends
  • Has accommodation in Huntsville or Muskoka area from May - October

Financial compensation is based on experience and will be discussed individually with successful candidates.
Please note all positions are on a contract basis for the 2016 season. Successful team members have opportunity to grow with LME for the 2017 season.
Co-Op and Internship positions to fulfil school requirements are also available.
