About Lucy Myers

Lucy attended George Brown College for Fashion Business Industry and Special Event Planning, graduating with Honours. During her enrolment she was selected to act as Student Liaison to the CEO of the Pan Am Games at the Special Event Symposium. Post school she spent the next decade working in Toronto and accumulating an abundance of event management experience, ranging from fundraising events for SickKids, North By Northeast (NXNE) music festival concerts and galas, Ontario Media Development Corporation industry education and networking events, trade show booth design and fashion show coordination at America’s Next Top Model LiveLucy has worked with the best in the industry and coordinated weddings and events at some of the top venues in Toronto including Archeo and The Fermenting Cellar in the Distillery DistrictThe Four SeasonsThe King Edward99 SudburyTwist Gallery and the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. Over the course of this period she launched Lucy Myers Events in Toronto in 2010.

Four years later Lucy has returned to Huntsville where she has coupled her professional approach with an intimate knowledge of the Muskoka area. It is here in Muskoka, where she grew up spending childhood summers on the lakes of Muskoka and spending winters traveling in Southeast Asia, that was the most influential experience for Lucy, second only to the guidance and creativity of her family. Lucy’s parents ran an import retail business in Huntsville for over 15 years, which took their family on annual buying trips to Bali, Indonesia, followed by travels throughout Southeast Asia. This unique upbringing has provided Lucy with small town integrity coupled with a sense of wanderlust and worldly aesthetic that continues to inspire her designs.

Lucy’s aesthetic is ever evolving as she is influenced by interior design, photography, fashion, travel and decades past. Pinpointing her style is difficult as she is inspired by many looks ranging from clean + contemporary, to preppy + glam, to eclectic boho. The depth and breadth of her sources of inspiration provide versatility when integrating multiple elements to develop a look, be it for her home, personal style or event design. She is constantly challenging herself to create innovative combinations with personal touches.

When conceptualizing a recent wedding design, Lucy reflected on her childhood adventures in Southeast Asia. She incorporated traditional Balinese hair combs as decorative embellishments into the otherwise contemporary white floral arrangements. 

Lucy Myers Events has a select team of associates trained in Special Event Planning to ensure your event – grand or intimate – is flawless. Lucy personally designs and plans each event and works with her team to coordinate and execute event details with a discerning eye and professional approach.



Lucy and her team went way above and beyond anything I could have ever dreamed of. She didn't just plan our wedding she took the time to get to know us, understand exactly what we wanted, and had the insight to make decisions for us. Lucy isn't just the wedding planner extraordinaire, she is a creative genius. She was like my fairy God-Mother and Martha Stewart all wrapped up into one professional and cute package.


From the outset, Lucy brought a consistent level of professionalism to all of our meetings and interactions.  She spent time trying to get to know us and our vision for the event, and was then able to help translate this into a tangible design concept that eventually became a day we (and our guests) won’t soon forget. In the days leading up to the wedding - and ultimately on the day of - having Lucy and her team was indispensable not only to the success of the day, but to both Rob and I getting to actually enjoy the day.  We were able to rely on both Lucy & Shannon to have everything in order, and to have all of us in the right place, at the right time (and if things were not going well, at least I wasn’t aware of it!)


Lucy Myers Events was professional, efficient and friendly. Lucy was great at coordinating our wedding weekend and kept everything to schedule as planned. It was such a relief as a bride to not have to worry about all of the 'little things' and knowing that I had a knowledgable and approachable resource and 'go to' person made my wedding day that much more enjoyable for me. Lucy also has a flair for design and decorated our ceremony and reception space beautifully.

I contacted Lucy Myers Events towards the end of my wedding planning as I needed help with finishing touches and pulling my ideas together. Lucy met me at our wedding venue and was able to share her creative vision on the spot. She came up with many great ideas on how to highlight different parts of our venue. She understood the style I was going for, even more than I did! Her décor recommendations were beautiful and really transformed our venue. Everything was beautiful for the wedding decor.  Lucy gave us several choices of design and followed through with our decisions.  Her designs were original. The spiral seating was unique and loved by everyone especially me!  The table settings were perfect. Our flowers were gorgeous. Thanks for finding a few tulips. Our wedding was exactly like I dreamed it would be.  Thank you for bringing such great ideas to us and putting it all together!

Lucy Myers Events… where to begin. We can’t thank you enough for planning, decorating and coordinating our absolute dream wedding! The moment we got engaged and decided we would be hosting our wedding at my husband’s mother’s heritage cottage in Muskoka, we knew this would be no easy task.

Living in Ottawa and both having full time jobs that take up much of our time, we knew planning a wedding four hours away in Muskoka would be stressful and not the “dream” we had both envisioned. Right away we approached the talented Lucy Myers, as we both admire her creativity and attention to detail, just a few characteristics she is so well known for. We had many meetings on the dock leading up to the wedding.  Going over details, budget, giving Lucy our opinions and her allowing my mother-in-law to ask as many questions as possible. I can’t forget the multiple emails and texts sent back and forth as well. We gave her pictures, colors schemes and ideas of what we had in mind and let her “go with it”. Best decision we ever made!  Lucy’s artistic flair paired with incredible work ethic made our day so flawless and so beautiful.

It has been three weeks since our wedding. We keep talking about what we could have done differently to make our day ‘the perfect day’ and honestly, we cannot think of one thing.  We had the perfect wedding.  We even asked a few of our guests what we could have done differently to improve the day, but all we hear from everyone so dear to our hearts is, “ I can’t believe how smooth and absolutely perfect your wedding was.”

From the start Lucy gave us her fee and we gave her our budget for décor and all I can say is my husband, mother-in-law and myself were able to relax and enjoy the most magical day because we knew Lucy and her team was taking care of everything. It’s such a good feeling to look back on our special day and remember all the incredible moments, details, surprises, smiles and just absolutely beautiful décor, instead of any negatives or having a million people ask you where you want a certain vase or flowers located. Lucy stayed within budget and truly created our dream heritage cottage wedding.

Not only did Lucy and her team plan the most memorable day, she and her assistant pulled my husband and I out onto the dock at 11pm with our photographers to create the most romantic moment of life between us. Kevin and I were left alone on the dock for 15 minutes, surrounded by the most beautiful burning candles that were leftover from tables at the reception.

These 15 minutes were so special because while the photographers were getting ready to take pictures, we were alone on the dock.  It gave us a moment to hug, kiss, talk about how incredible our wedding was going and just live in the moment. We will truly cherish that special time we had alone at our wedding for years to come. To Lucy and your team THANK YOU!!! We truly can’t thank you enough for making our dream wedding come true.



We worked with Lucy for month-of wedding coordination, as well as some design consultation. Throughout the entire process, Lucy was incredibly organized, responsive and easy to work with. Prior to the wedding day, Lucy created a very detailed wedding-day itinerary for us and helped us finalize decor decisions, as well as managed all the final details with our vendors, ranging from our venue to our transportation company.

On the day-of the wedding, we never had to worry about a thing. Lucy was in complete control and worked very well with our other vendors. She understood our vision and executed it flawlessly. From setting up all the decor, to keeping us on schedule, and working with all the vendors and staff, we knew we could rely on her. I never felt stressed or worried because I knew Lucy would handle everything, so I was free to enjoy the day with friends and family. I was so relaxed! We received countless compliments from our guests about how amazing the decor looked and how organized the entire day was. Hiring Lucy was the best decision we made. Thank-you Lucy for taking such great care of us on our wedding day!



I would not want to throw a party for a crowd without Lucy.  I love everything about entertaining and actually enjoy my own events when I can hand over the details to her.  She manages the set up, table and home decoration, keeping the bar and the food running well and supervising the wait staff.  Lucy comes early and leaves late.  I always have a great time and never worry for a minute.  



We have had the pleasure of Lucy Myers looking after our annual dance party the past three years.  She has relieved the stress in coordinating a large annual party at which over 120 people are invited with live music, food and drinks, and all the other various aspects involved.  She has managed the event team of bartenders, food service people, and clean-up very well so that we don't have to worry about anything at all.  We have found her entirely reliable.  As well as her reliability and the fact that she has relieved the stress of making sure everything is working well, she also is imaginative and adds a lot of great ideas of how to enhance our and our guests' experience.
